Bali is warm year-round and has two seasons. April to October is dry and sunny, with rare rain. This is high season, with July, August and New Year dates the most expensive. November to March is rainy, especially December, January and February. It is hot and humid, but hotel rates are lower; hotels call this the green season.

May and September usually offer the best balance of weather and price. In spring, we account for Nyepi, Bali's day of silence: the airport closes for a full day and guests stay at their hotel. We check the festival date and restrictions when planning your trip.

Ubud is in the island's interior: villas above river gorges, rice terraces, temples, spa and yoga. There is no sea here. In Uluwatu, hotels stand on the Bukit Peninsula's cliffs, with beaches below the rocks and sunset views from the terraces.

Jimbaran and Nusa Dua are closest to the airport, around 20 minutes away, with beaches and resorts with children's clubs. Seminyak and Canggu have restaurants, bars and sunsets, but traffic often stalls. The quietest areas are in the east, below Mount Agung, and in the northwest, in the national park near Menjangan island. Sumba is a separate island east of Bali, visited for NIHI, the ocean and horse riding on the beach.

Aeroflot's direct flight from Sheremetyevo to Denpasar takes around 12.5 hours, and the return around 13 hours. Bali is five hours ahead of Moscow. Connecting options run via Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Doha or Istanbul, with Emirates, Etihad, Qatar Airways and Turkish Airlines flying nonstop from those hubs to Bali, giving you a choice of departure times and cabin classes.

Sumba is reached by a domestic flight from Denpasar, taking around an hour. Flights leave in the morning, so an overnight stay in Bali is more convenient after flying from Moscow. Schedules changed during 2026, so we check the latest timetable before booking.

Russian citizens need a visa for a tourist trip. For a short holiday, a visa on arrival or electronic e-VOA valid for 30 days is usually used. Before payment, we check passport, document and timing requirements on Indonesia's official immigration portal.

Before arrival, travellers also complete the All Indonesia arrival card and pay Bali's tourist levy through Love Bali. We send official links and confirm current fees and deadlines for your dates.

Bali's main airport, Ngurah Rai (DPS), is near Denpasar. Onward travel is usually by car: around 20 minutes to Four Seasons in Jimbaran and from 75 minutes to Ubud hotels. Traffic can increase journey times. For Sumba, take a domestic flight to Tambolaka (TMC), then the hotel's car to NIHI. We include the transfer in your proposal.

Journey times in the island's south depend on traffic. We allow extra time for the return. If Sumba is included, we coordinate your Bali arrival with the domestic flight and allow a night on the island if necessary. We order a child seat in advance.

Many travellers do: a few nights in Ubud among jungle and rice terraces, followed by the ocean in the south. The drive from Four Seasons in Sayan to Four Seasons in Jimbaran takes 90 minutes. Aman has three hotels in Bali, Amandari in Ubud, Amankila in the east and Aman Villas at Nusa Dua, which can easily be linked in one itinerary.

Sumba works well at the end of the trip, reached by a morning flight from Denpasar. We coordinate journeys with check-out and check-in times and combine everything into one proposal.

Yes, but hotels differ considerably. Children's clubs are available at Four Seasons in Jimbaran, Jumeirah Bali, AYANA (Ocean Adventure for children aged 4 and over), The St. Regis and Umana Bali. Viceroy Bali in Ubud is family-owned, while Regent Bali Canggu has family programmes and a surf school. Capella Ubud is inconvenient with children under six, and Buahan welcomes only adults aged 18 and over.

With young children, Jimbaran and Nusa Dua are often chosen because some hotels have shorter transfer times. For swimming, we consider waves, currents and the specific beach conditions. We confirm club age limits, nanny services and children's accommodation with the hotel before booking.

The price usually includes accommodation and breakfast. The following are most often charged separately:

• Airport transfers if not included in the rate
• Domestic flight to Sumba

Hotels continue to serve guests already staying, but we schedule arrivals, departures and transfers for other dates. We check the exact restrictions before booking.

For temple visits, wear clothing that covers shoulders and knees and follow each site's rules. Your guide will explain in advance where you may go and take photographs. We will arrange a local guide for your island trip.

We have direct agreements with hotels and work without intermediaries. We also obtain guest privileges that hotels do not offer for independent bookings.
