- In winter, an 8-minute walk through the forest from the station, with luggage transported by electric snowmobile; a tram operates in summer, described by the hotel as Europe’s highest
- The 2026/27 season runs from 11 December to 4 April; the summer season from 18 June to 20 September 2027
- Alexander Seiler opened the first hotel here in 1884; the current resort was built in 1998–2000 and fully renovated in 2016
- 65 rooms and suites, many with balconies facing the Matterhorn; the Monte Rosa Suite has two bathrooms and bunk beds for children
