It is warm year-round, but there are two seasons. From November to March, daytime temperatures are around +25, sea temperatures +22…+25, and rain is rare: even January, the rainiest month, has only two or three rainy days. This is high season, with New Year the most expensive period. From May to September, daytime temperatures exceed 40 degrees, with humidity on the coast. Beach time is in the morning and evening; daytime is spent by the pool, in the spa and in restaurants, while prices are the year’s lowest.

April and the second half of October offer the best balance of weather and price. In Ras Al Khaimah’s mountains, on Jebel Jais, it is around 10 degrees cooler. Thousands of flamingos winter in Dubai and Abu Dhabi reserves from autumn to spring.

Dubai combines the beach and a major city: the Palm, Jumeirah, Michelin-listed restaurants and the Burj Khalifa, with hotels 15 minutes to an hour from the airport. Abu Dhabi is quieter, with Saadiyat Island’s beach, Louvre Abu Dhabi and Sheikh Zayed Mosque; hotels are 20–30 minutes from the airport.

For peace and nature, head to the desert: pool villas among dunes outside Dubai, in Ras Al Khaimah and in Liwa, or villas in a reserve’s savannah on Sir Bani Yas Island. Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah resorts lie between sea and mountains, 45 minutes to an hour and a half from Dubai. We often combine a few city days with a few days in the desert or on an island.

A direct flight from Moscow to Dubai or Abu Dhabi takes around six hours; the time difference from Moscow is one hour. Aeroflot, Emirates and flydubai fly to Dubai; Aeroflot and Etihad fly to Abu Dhabi. There are many flights, allowing a choice of departure time and travel class. Dubai is the most convenient gateway for Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah resorts, followed by a 45-minute to one-and-a-half-hour drive.

No. Under the Russia–UAE agreement, Russian citizens do not need a visa and may stay for up to 90 days in each 180-day period, with no advance application. Your international passport must remain valid for at least six months; an iris photograph is taken at passport control.

Medical insurance is needed for the entire trip: treatment for foreign visitors in the UAE is paid and expensive. We remind you about documents before departure.

Almost always by car. Dubai hotels are 15 minutes to an hour from the airport, depending on the area and traffic; desert villas outside Dubai are around an hour away. In Abu Dhabi, Saadiyat and the centre are 20–30 minutes away. From Dubai, Ras Al Khaimah resorts are 45 minutes to an hour away, and Fujairah around an hour and a half.

Liwa Desert is two and a half hours by car from Abu Dhabi, or around 50 minutes by helicopter from the airport. Sir Bani Yas Island requires a two-hour drive to Jebel Dhanna jetty, then 20–30 minutes by boat, running four times a day to a timetable. Children under four need a car seat; we arrange it in advance. Transfers are included in the proposal from the start.

Yes, this is one of the most convenient family destinations: a six-hour flight, just one hour’s time difference from Moscow and a short airport journey. Many hotels have kids’ clubs, family rooms and two-bedroom villas; stays at Atlantis The Royal include daily Aquaventure waterpark admission.

Check the club’s minimum age and the month: in summer it is hot outdoors even in the morning, so October to April is more comfortable with children. We select hotels with their ages in mind.

The price usually includes accommodation, the chosen meal plan, VAT and service charge. The following are most often paid separately:

• Airport transfer by car, or optionally by helicopter to the Liwa Desert
• Nightly levy: Dubai’s Tourism Dirham is 20 dirhams per bedroom in five-star hotels, for no more than 30 consecutive nights; Abu Dhabi’s tourism and municipality levies are each 4% of the bill; Ras Al Khaimah charges 15 dirhams per room
• Drinks when booking breakfast only or half board
• Restaurants outside the rate, spa visits, desert excursions, yachts, Burj Khalifa and park tickets
• New Year’s Eve gala dinner, mandatory at some hotels

This rate is rare in Dubai and Abu Dhabi’s premium hotels. Guests usually choose breakfast or half board and dine in the city: Dubai’s Michelin Guide alone lists over a hundred restaurants. In the desert and on islands, where the nearest restaurant is far away, half board or full board offers better value. We price both options and show the difference.

There is no strict dress code for tourists: regular swimwear is worn at beaches and pools. In the city, clothing covering shoulders and knees is preferable; revealing clothing is not permitted at mosques or cultural sites. Alcohol is served to those aged 21 and over in licensed restaurants and bars, almost always in hotels. Drinking on beaches or in public places, or appearing intoxicated, is prohibited. Do not photograph people without consent, particularly women, or airports, police and government buildings.

During Ramadan, do not eat, drink or smoke in public during the day; in 2027, fasting is expected approximately from 8 February to 9 March. Controlled medicines may be brought in for up to three months of treatment with a prescription and doctor’s report; they must be declared at customs or authorised in advance by the UAE Ministry of Health.
